Final Cache County election results

The final results are in from the Cache County elections office. The countywide library opinion got a no from Cache County voters. Jon Jenkins was re-elected to the school board. Republicans did well as usual in Utah and unusually well nationwide. All the Utah constitutional amendments passed.

The primary and preliminary election results for June 22, 2010. For Cache County, Mike Lee just edged out Tim Bridgewater for US Senator. State-wide it’s just too close to call. Jon Jenkins and Troy Christensen are definitely on the ballot for the school board election this fall. And Mike Gleed was re-elected as Cache County Recorder.

Tuesday: Republican primary and preliminary for school board seat

Polls open tomorrow for the Republican primary and for a one-seat preliminary vote for Cache County School Board. Tim Bridgewater and Mike Lee lead the big race for US Senate after they defeated long-time incumbent Bob Bennett at the state convention. A second race between incumbent Mike Gleed and Stan Palmer for Cache County Recorder will also be decided tomorrow.

Election filings start Friday, Three school boards seats available

School board, county, state and national election filings start this Friday. For the Smithfield region we have three school board, one cache county council, all cache county officials, one state legislature and one national congressional seat up for election. Sign-ups begin this Friday, March 12 and continue for only one week until Friday, March 19 by 5 p.m. at the county clerk’s office. [UPDATE: Added US Senate seat.]
