Bulldogs lose in scrap with Bobcats
In what turned out to be one of the more exciting finishes of the year, Sky View Bobcats beat the Judge Bulldogs 3-2 in the last game of the regular season. The game started with some good defense until about halfway through the first period when the Bulldogs scored the first goal of the game. The rest of the first period and most of the second neither team could get anything going. With just over 2 minutes left in the second, Sky View gained some momentum and Jason Blau scored a goal, assisted by Braden Limb and Tanner Gray.
Jake Hill scored right after, assisted by Jason Blau, to take a 2-1 lead going into the 3rd period. Judge then scored to tie the game. Tanner Gray scored, assisted by Braden Limb, to put Sky View up for good.
With 31 saves for the game, Sky View then relied on goalie Tanton Jeppson to protect the lead, as Judge pulled their goalie with more than 2 minutes left to try to force a tie. The win put Sky View a head of Judge in the standings for the playoffs which start next Wednesday night.
