Smithfield City has scheduled a public hearing regarding the city’s form of government ordinance. The public hearing — originally scheduled for March 16 — was moved to March 9 due to scheduling conflicts with the city attorney.

The public hearing will take place at the Senior Citizens Center at Mack Park on March 9, 2010 at 6:30 p.m.

Public Notice is given that the Smithfield City Council will meet in a Public Hearing at 375 Canyon Road, (Senior Citizen Center), Smithfield, Utah on Tuesday, March 9, 2010. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

The Smithfield City Council will hold a Public Hearing on March 9, 2010, at the Senior Citizen Center. The meeting will begin at 6:30 pm.

The purpose of the hearing is to allow for public comments for consideration of a proposed Ordinance amendment (Ordinance 10-02) to Title 2, “Administration and Personnel”, Chapters 2.04 “City Manager Form of Government Adopted”, 2.08 “City Council”, 2.12 “Mayor”, and 2.16 “City Officers Generally”

The Public are invited and encouraged to attend. Copies of the proposed amendments are available at the City Office during regular business hours Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. It is also available on the City Web page at smithfieldcity.org.
