Health Days scholarship program this Saturday
The Health Days Scholarship Program will be held April 24th, at 7:00 p.m., in the Sky View Auditorium. There will be 13 young ladies competing for the five positions available to represent Smithfield.

The contestants have been attending workshops conducted by Tom and Gaylen Worthen, where they have learned presentation and communication skills, to aid them in the competition. The 24th is the evening where everything comes together and they present themselves to the judges and audience. During the summer, the girls will ride in all the city parades throughout the valley and attend city functions as needed.

In addition to the program, winners of the Health Days Poster Contest will be announced and awarded prizes this evening. Children from Sunrise and Summit Elementary Schools have created posters based on this year’s Health Days theme of “Smithfield…living in HD.” The posters will be on display in the hallways of Sky View High School. This evening of presentation, poise, and art is free and open to the public.
