Sky View High School today named long time Lewiston resident Kimber Hall as the new Head Coach for Girls Basketball. Kimber Hall is a brother to Athletic Director Jan Hall. Kimber Hall the owner of Hall’s store in Lewiston comes from a rich sports background. Hall set and holds many records as a member of the Smithfield Blue Sox.

In the late eighties to mid nineties Hall was an assistant football coach at Preston High School for seven years. He also coached the girl’s basketball team for seven years before becoming the boys coach for two more years. Hall also coached baseball for three years at Preston.

Hall said he is very excited to take over such a good program. He had nothing but praise for the previous coaches and mentioned a long history of winning in the Sky View girls program. Hall said, “Coach Hansen has done a great job with this program winning a couple regional championships, and there were a couple before his time.” Hall expressed a passion for coaching and a desire to continue to build a winning program.

Hall met with the team today and said the team was excited and revved up to get going. He won’t have too long before he gets back into the coaching saddle as he will begin hosting camps next week.
