Fans of Sky View wrestling will see a familiar face at the helm of the program next year when newly appointed head coach Bardett Bagley takes over the program.

A long-time supporter and previous assistant wrestling coach Bagley most recently finished a short tenure as the head baseball coach at Sky View where he guided his team deep into the state playoffs this year.

Bagley was an assistant wrestling coach under former head wrestling coach, Kyle Wright who stepped down from that position earlier this year. Bagley officially stepped down as an assistant wrestling coach to focus on his duties as the baseball coach. However, he never strayed very far from the program. Bagley continued to assist the program when time permitted and was very involved with helping to host a successful “Bobcat Brawl” this year and was spotted assisting at the regional tournament held at Mountain Crest High School.

The wrestling team’s gain will be the baseball team’s loss as Bagley will vacate that position after this year. Earlier this season several coaching changes at Sky View resulted in a new head basketball coach in long-time assistant Kirk Hillyard taking over the reins of the boys program from Kevin Anderson. Kimber Hall has assumed the head coaching position of the girls basketball team after Paul Hansen stepped down from that position at the end of the girl’s very successful run in the state playoffs.

Two coaching positions remain vacant at Sky View, the head boys soccer coaching position is currently waiting to be filled after Doyle Geddes ended his storied career in that position, choosing to focus his efforts on the girl’s soccer program. Geddes had served as the head coach of both programs for several years. The other vacant coaching position is in the baseball program where Bagley had been serving.

New faces and many changes will be the story next year at Sky View as each of these programs take their respective fields of play. Our congratulations to all of the new coaches, go Bobcats!!!
