The Sky High Players put on a hit variety show
Sky View’s Sky High Players wrapped up the four night production of their annual variety show on Monday night.
It was another very well performed production at Sky View as the Sky High Players put on an outstanding display of talent.
The show was full of singing, dancing, and comedy sketches.
The show included numbers from the hit musical “Les Miserables,” as well as samplings from “Mary Poppins,” “Bye Bye Birdie,” “Grease,” “Your a Good Man Charlie Brown,” and many more.
The performance included a couple of comedy sketches from Studio C a sketch show on BYUTV.
The crowd was entertained by some fun dance numbers, beautiful ballet, and great song numbers that included popular show tunes as well as a rocking tribute to a cheese burger.
The senior members of the Sky High players were honored in the final number.
The group also paid tribute to Nan Wharton the long time drama teacher and director of annual performances such as the variety show, the Encore production, The Musical, and Three Act Plays. Wharton recently retired for health reasons and “Wharton’s Legacy” has had an enduring affect on the Sky View drama members.
This year’s variety show was directed by Jennifer Bohman who looks to carry on the great traditions of amazing productions put on by Sky View.
