NORTH LOGAN — The City Council unanimously passed a resolution Wednesday to change a common boundary between Logan city and North Logan. The council will hold a public hearing to discuss the proposal on June 5.

NORTH LOGAN—Fire Chief Jon Keller told the City Council that his hope for the coming year is to give his 36 firefighters a raise to $8 per hour. Although each firefighter receives an additional 25 cents per hour for every certification they have, their base pay is only $7.25 per hour, he said. One firefighter who has been with the department for 15 years only makes $10.25 per hour.

HYDE PARK — After June 30, Hyde Park residents will no longer have free use of the North Logan Library.

NORTH LOGAN—Residents voiced market viability and an increase in traffic as a few of their concerns at a public hearing Wednesday, to declare 1.4 acres of city land as surplus for private sale and the possible construction of an assisted living facility.
