Sky View Lacrosse is holding player registration for the 2011 spring season for grades 4-12 at the North Logan Library (475 E 2500 N) from 9 a.m. to noon on January 22 and 29. Please come prepared with proof of current US Lacrosse registration, medical/insurance information and cash or check for registration fees. Smithfield — After nine seasons as head coach of the Sky View Bobcats Lacrosse team, co-founder and current Head Coach Jonathan Atwood is stepping down.
Sky View Lacrosse had an exceptionally great game last night beating Box Elder 20-7. Sky View was lead by Keaton Cluff, Karson Fullmer and Tanton Jeppson with five goals each. Sean Bergeson and Chris Morrill both had two goals, and Jon El Bakri rounded out the scoring with one goal.
The Sky View Lacrosse team played the defending state champion, Bountiful Braves last night in Bountiful. After a slow start, the Varsity team came out strong in the second half, but came up short in an 8-5 loss.
The Sky View varsity lacrosse team beat West Jordan Saturday 6-2. Sky View was led by Goalie Chris Cannell with 12 saves. Scoring goals for the Bobcats were Sean Bergeson with two, and one each for Caden Sorenson, Chris Morrill, Trevor Kulikowski, and Clayton Walters.
Sky Views lacrosse team beat the Mountain Crest Mustangs yesterday 13-0. Sky View was led by their goalies Chris “Shield” Cannell and Ethan Crossley. The rest of their defense played an amazing game. Sky Views next game is April 10th against West Jordan at Sky View at 10:30am.
The pre-season Beet Digger Tournament turned out to be very successful for both the Sky View Varsity and JV teams. The JV team won 3 of their 4 games. The JV team played West Jordan on Friday with a win 4-1, Brighton on Friday, winning 9-2, and Lone Peak on Saturday winning 9-1. They tied the last one against Alta in the semi final round. As Alta had the first goal, they were declared the winner and moved on to the finals. That tie ended the JV’s 20 game winning streak.
Sky View Lacrosse continued their preseason by taking all three of their teams to the Boise Table Rock Shootout. Varsity started out with a defensive battle with a local Idaho team from Eagle. They tied 3-3. Their next game against Boise, was a back and forth battle. In the last seconds Sky View pulled off the win 7-6, with a goal from Karson Fullmer.
The Sky View boys lacrosse team started their preseason play this last weekend by going to Las Vegas for the Best of the West tournament. After a tough first game against Legacy — a Vegas powerhouse — the Bobcats played Copper Hills Saturday morning in a back and forth game game that ended in a 10-9 win.
