The Sky View varsity hockey team played the spotlight “Game of The Week” Saturday afternoon at the E-Center in West Valley. The Bobcats prevailed against the Weber County Independent Wolves. Final score: Bobcats 5, Wolves 4.
The Sky View Varsity hockey team played their local rivals, the Cache Valley Wild, and beat them 3-1. Saturday’s game brings Sky View to 5 wins, 1 tie and 0 losses against the Wild.
The Sky View varsity hockey team beat the Jordan Beetdiggers by 5 to 0 Wednesday evening. Tanner Gray scored two goals with Jake Hill, Jaxon Wright and Austin Gray adding one each.
Sky View JV Hockey played the Riverton Silver Wolves on Saturday, October 2nd at the Bountiful Rec. Center. Final score: Bobcats 5, Silver Wolves 4. It was a close game with the score tied most of the game. Michael Szorik scored the winning goal in the last minute and a half of the game. Adam Snow scored 4 goals.
Sky Views hockey season came to an end Wednesday night as they lost to a very good Springville team 6-3. Sky View held close and with 4 minutes left in the game scored to make it a 4-3 game. Springville then scored two goals to put the game out of reach and end Sky Views season.
Wednesday night the Sky View hockey team lost a hard hitting battle to the Skyline Eagles 6-3 in the first round of the double elimination portion of the playoffs. Jake Hill, Braden Limb and Tanner Gray all had goals for Sky View. David Nelson and Jared Valdez had assists. Goalie Tanton Jeppson had 45 saves. Sky View next game will be next Wednesday, Feb. 10 at 9:30 p.m. in Bountiful.
Hockey playoffs began Wednesday night for the Bobcats as they took on the Hunter Wolverines. Sky View was lead by goalie Tanton Jeppson with 25 saves in a 3-1 win over a much improved Wolverine team. Ryan Reevs started the Bobcats out by scoring a goal early in the first period assisted by Ryan Carter.
In what turned out to be one of the more exciting finishes of the year, Sky View Bobcats beat the Judge Bulldogs 3-2 in the last game of the regular season. The game started with some good defense until about halfway through the first period when the Bulldogs scored the first goal of the game. The rest of the first period and most of the second neither team could get anything going. With just over 2 minutes left in the second, Sky View gained some momentum and Jason Blau scored a goal, assisted by Braden Limb and Tanner Gray.
Sky View Bobcat hockey team played a tough Northern Utah independent team Monday night but fell in the end 4-6. Sky View led early but the Panthers came back from 2 down to tie the game at 4. Then they took the lead at the end of the second period. A couple of late penalties in the third period hurt the Bobcats chances of a come back and a empty net goal with a minute twenty left in the game sealed the game for the Panthers.
The Sky View Bobcat hockey team beat the Hunter Wolverines last night 10 to 1. Sky View was led by Tanner Gray with 4 goals and 2 assists, and goalie Tanton Jeppson had 20 saves. Others scoring goals were, Jake Hill, Ian Palfreyman, Braden Limb, Ryan Reevs, Ethan Crossley, and David Nelson. Those adding assists were Adam Snow, and Sam Jarvis with 2 each, Ian Palfreyman, Mark Burch, and Braden Limb with one each.
The Sky View Bobcat hockey team played Cache Valley Wild to a tie of 0-0 Monday night. The game was up and down with both goalies playing extremely well. Goalie Tanton Jeppson had 22 saves for Sky View while Mason Dudschus had 15 saves for the Wild.
